Examine key Rock drummers and songs of the past 5 decades. Learn how to choose drums and cymbals for Rock music, as well as tuning and care. Handouts and literature provided.         Summer Rocks ($205) 8-12 yrs. Novice Musicians Try guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals, and drum kit. Enjoy a wide range of fun, music related activities. Each week ends with a mini rock concert on our in-house stage!         July 11-15, 2011     Music Immersion ($205) 7-11 yrs. Beginners Welcome! Enjoy many instruments, hands on: drums, assorted percussion, keyboard, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, and voice. The week also highlights basic music fundamentals of reading, notation, rhythm, pitch and more. Showcase what you’ve learned at the Friday recital!         July 18-22, 2011     Battle of the Bands ($255) 13-17 yrs. Intermediate-Advanced Spend the week as part of a modern rock band! Learn about naming your band, gear, song-writing, rehearsals, promotion and more. Equipment is on site for lead/backup guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, and vocals. Prepare for the Friday performance!         July 25-29, 2011     Summer Rocks ($205) 8-12 yrs. Novice Musicians Try guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals, and drum kit. Enjoy a wide range of fun, music related activities. Each week ends with a mini rock concert on our in-house stage!         Musical Theatre ($205) 8-14 yrs. Beginners Welcome! Songs are featured this week from favourite movies & shows. Expect a positive and energetic experience. Students who have the ability to play and learn basic songs will enjoy this exciting camp! You will learn, rehearse and perform several Rock standards!         August 22-26, 2011     Jazz Shoppe ($295) 14 yrs-Adult. Consultation Required Good for the soul! Intermediate and advanced Jazz clinics are offered to musicians with some skill in any genre.
